he's the newest addition to the soul kitchen family!

born july 28, 2005, 12:10pm, 8lbs 4oz, he is the funkiest baby ever to hit the scene. (TRUST ME, he's got some STRENGTH in his cryin'!)

he is a HANDfull, and he is what john huie's been busy with!

In other sK news, we're now searching for a drummer. minus a drummer, we all decided that we had not said our full yet! we're not done makin' the fun in FUNk, the jam in JAMmin', or the fun in disFUNctional.......

we want to still cook food that really has an impact permanently in someone's soul. we will never back down from that goal.

It is an awesome time in their lives, and we pray for a great marriage!

In other news, JOHN HUIE IS HAVING A BABY! Well, not in the Arnold sort of way,but his wife is!

soul Kitchen has spent years training for this day... High up with the monks in the mountains of China, we've been practicing the Funk preparing for the day of Battle!

Join sK this saturday 8.28.04 at 7pm (we're on at 8:25) as we duke it out musical style at Eastern University's Battle of the Bands!

Con on out and check out the other battling bands as well , P.U.R.E, Redefined, Far and Fading, Ember Fall (tentative) and The Mint.its $2 for all non-eastern students, cant beat that for 6 bands!

Looks like that time is finally upon us. This saturday June 12th at the Millcreek Tavern (42nd and Chester, next to UPenn and USP campus), the doors are being blown off by the dropping of the funk bomb known as "Cookin for the Soul". Our first Feature length CD is finally here and we want you all to come celebrate!

At 7pm, The night's opening up with the grooves of Josh Komorowski from the Love Syndicate, followed by the soul Kitchen crew taking the stage.

During the event we're gonna be having giveaways, prizes and a chance to check out the new CD fresh off the presses! So come on out and have a funky good time

This Saturday June 5th, soul Kitchen is heading to Karen's Place coffeehouse for their annual Hawiaan Night! Though you won't be seeing the boys of soul Kitchen dressed up in grass skirts (i hope), we'll be setting the mood with some Hawiaan songs!

Also, if you can manage to drape yourself in a brightly colored Hawaiian shirt for the evening, you'll get half price on all food!! So, some on out and have some fun!

Addicted to caffine?... Want to be? This Friday May 21st, soul Kitchen's gonna be combining some steaming music with some hot coffee at the Got Mug coffee house in Havertown. If you bring your own mug, the coffee's on the house. So you've got no excuse not to show your mug!

soul Kitchen is takin it to the Khyber this thursday night for a fun filled evening of funk. Along with George Wesley, the Silents, and Mos Mental, sK be tearing down the house. Come on out and have some fun!

After many months in the recording studio, soul Kitchen is ready to release the fruits of the hard work to the world. "Cookin' For The Soul" is Soul Kitchen's 2nd album and most ambitious work yet! From the melodious sounds of "Velvet" to the pure energy of "Cheer up", this new CD spans the whole range of musical tastes! We want to invite you out to the debut of the album, so come on out and have a blast with us!!

The evening's going to start off at 7pm with Josh K (from The Love Syndicate) with soul Kitchen bringing the funky times to the stage @8pm.
